8 Area Counties Applying for Emergency Assistance

Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Sawyer and Washburn counties are alerting the public that they will be applying for Community Development Block Grant-Emergency Assistance Program funds for individuals whose homes were damaged by the storms of July 11th and July 21. 

To be eligible to access the potential funds, a damaged home must be their primary residence or rental unit occupied, and be low to moderate income families with documentation of damage with pictures, receipts of repairs, and a minimum of 2 bids for repairs. 

Also, Contractors must be licensed and insured to be reimbursed. If your home was damaged during last month’s floods, and you think you meet the criteria, contact Kim Gifford, Northwest Regional Planning Commission, 715-635-6197.
