Barron County Waste To Energy

Nearly 100 people showed up for last night's meeting of the Barron County Board of Supervisors to listen to discussion about the future of the County's Waste to Energy incinerator and recycling plant.

Although the agenda included a scheduled vote to close the money-losing facility, the board voted unanimously to delay that vote to allow for further discussion among board members about the consequences of shutting down the incinerator, with the understanding that another vote on the future of the plant could be brought up at anytime in the future.
