Friday, September 6, 2019 - Based on preliminary data for the month of August, Lake Superior has tied its record high water level for the month.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Detroit says the high levels in August on all of the Great Lakes is a continuing trend of new records set on the Great Lakes during the spring and summer.  According to the Army Corps, Lakes Erie, Ontario and Superior all reached new record highs during the summer, and in June, the records for Lakes Erie and Ontario were the highest for any month going back to 1918.  They say additional record high water levels are possible on all of the Great Lakes this fall.
