Monday, January 13, 2020 - A Haugen man has been found guilty of murder in the death of his infant daughter.  34-year old Curtis Strand, of Haugen, was been convicted of 2nd Degree Reckless Homicide of his 3-month old infant in July 2017. The trial which concluded late last week, was based on a July 2017 incident when a 911 call reported an infant that was not breathing. Two days later, on July 11, 2017, the infant was pronounced deceased. The subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Strand. who was charged in November 2017.  The Court dismissed, with prejudice, a charge of 1st Degree Reckless Homicide but Strand’s bail bond was revoked and he is now in custody in the Barron County jail.
