The Barron County Treasurer’s Office, in conjunction with the Wisconsin County Treasurers’ Association and supported by the Wisconsin Department of Revenue, is dedicating the week of May 13 – 17 as Lottery and Gaming Credit Awareness Week. The Lottery and Gaming credit is a reduction on your real estate tax bill. To qualify for the lottery and gaming credit, the property owner must be a Wisconsin resident and must use the dwelling as their primary residence as of the certification date of January 1st. Last year the average lottery and gaming credit was $171.00 in Barron County. If you are not sure if you are receiving a lottery credit, believe that you are eligible to receive one, or have any questions regarding the lottery and gaming credit, please contact the Barron County Treasurer’s Office at 715-537-6280.
