Friday, October 4, 2019 - After a year of detours and closings, the Rice Lake Main Street Bridge over the Red Cedar River is now completely open.  Yesterday, workers did some finishing touches and removed the traffic cones and barriers that had become familiar sights for drivers crossing the bridge.  The $3-million project, replaced two bridges, - the west side, built nearly 100 years ago, and the east side, built in the mid-1970's. The new bridge includes sidewalks, railings, lighting, and painted stone on the outer sides of the bridge.
